Holidays in the snow
Winter activities in Sölden
Winter in Sölden is known and loved for its almost limitless skiing pleasure. 144 kilometres of pistes, two glacier ski areas, three skiable three-thousand-metre peaks, over 30 state-of-the-art lifts and just as many places to stop for refreshments. The Sölden ski area is indeed in a class of its own and an Eldorado for experienced skiers, but also for beginners, families and children. Because they are well catered for here - in the numerous ski schools with practice slopes and children's areas. Access to the valley run down to the Giggijochbahn is only 300 metres away from the Fenderhof, ski in/ski out, so to speak. Otherwise, you can take the free shuttle, which runs several times a day, down to the Giggijochbahn and back again. Guests at the Fenderhof also receive a 15% discount on ski rentals at our partner Ski Mike, not far from the accommodation.
Skis can also be reserved in advance.
Away from the pistes, the mountains and the snow entice you to go ski touring as well as winter hiking and snowshoeing. There is definitely a bit of peace and quiet here in the otherwise lively winter sports resort. Especially on Sölden's quiet side. And on the new "Stiegele" toboggan run, 7.3 km of pure tobogganing fun await you from the Gaislachkogl middle station down into the valley. As an evening or bad weather programme, go ice skating or curling at the Sölden ice rink. Or relax in the indoor pool at the Freizeit Arena Sölden - free of charge for our guests.
